Our History
Sensational Sandwiches was born in 2022 when founder, Fraser Searle, was made redundant from his job as an editor at a publishing house. In the depths of the pandemic, with some free time on his hands, he began documenting the recipes he was making for his family members on his Instagram account Frasemakesfood.
After picking up a job delivering food for a major supermarket in the UK in order to pay rent, Fraser found it more difficult to continue making content and Frasemakesfood was all but dead. It was only after Fraser moved to Bristol in the Summer of 2022 that he started developing the concept for Sensational Sandwiches (the renamed account of Frasemakesfood), his iconic intro ‘hello scrollers’ and his now globally known recipes which catapulted the brand from 0 to 1 million followers across platforms in 1 year.
Since the launch of Sensational Sandwiches, we’ve been teaching people all around the world that a sandwich doesn’t have to be limited by its history and that anyone can make a Sensational Sandwich by following our step-by-step recipes.
We now have a small team of recipe creators, share new recipes every week and have a budding community of sandwich lovers re-creating their own Sensations all around the world. We hope you stick around to check out our recipes and have a go at making a sandwich that truly is Sensational!
